“I came Late to fencing, I started in my late 30's and have been fencing for about 6 years. After the closure of the club where I started fencing, Tim Dugas and I started of Escrime d'Acadie, where we are coach, bookkeeper, cook and bottlewasher. In my personal life, I'm a petroleum Landman and have been married to James Underwood for 11 years. We reside in Lafayette with our 3 dogs and 5 cats.”

David Burke was born and raised in Baton Rouge. A recent recipient of a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from LSU, David applies his knowledge at his job with the LA Dept of Environmental Quality. David is a USFCA licensed Moniteur coach and teaches the beginner’s class at the Baton Rouge Fencing Club.

Theresa grew up in Wilmette, IL, where she started fencing at New Trier High School under Coach Colby Vargas. She attended Duke University where she fenced on the varsity team under Coach Alex Beguinet. After graduating, she moved to Baton Rouge where she taught for 2 years. She is currently doing post-graduate work at LSU and works with advanced epee fencers at the Baton Rouge Fencing Club.

Jonathan is the Operational Manager of the New Orleans Fencers' Club. His first coach was Dr. Benjamin Price 1978. His current coach is Dr. Ted Cotton.
